Class 7 · MathematicsCBSE & ICSE

Definition

Decimal representation is a way of writing fractions whose denominators are powers of 10, such as 10, 100, 1000. It uses a decimal point to separate the whole number part from the fractional part. Each digit to the right of the decimal point represents tenths, hundredths, thousandths, and so on.

Key formula

Fraction a/10^n = Decimal representation
